TCulture Cyperus Alternifolius

Cyperus alternifolius, often know as unbrella plant, is a sedge orinaginating from Madagascar.

the clumbs of tell bare (30-150 cm tall) crowned with long ,slender,dark green leaf like bracts. Small brown fuzzy flowers often develop from the top of the stem. C.hapens has clumps of bare stems (30-50 cm long) topped with stiff bracts (leaf like) and inflorescence.

As they are semi aquatic,they can be grown along the edges of pond or in terrariums by keeping its root system fully submerged.
